Eric Tedders is the founder of NJBallot.com and a lifelong advocate for transparent, accessible government in the Garden State. A resident of Egg Harbor City in Atlantic County, he built NJBallot to give New Jersey voters something he felt was missing: a truly independent, nonpartisan source for election information, civic reporting, and government accountability — from the State House in Trenton down to the smallest municipal hall.

Eric brings a unique background to the editor's desk. He served 16 years in the U.S. Army, including work as an intelligence analyst, and later served as a paralegal specialist with the New Jersey Army National Guard — experience that sharpened his eye for primary sources, public records, and the fine print of government. After his military service, he earned a B.S. in Computer and Information Sciences from Stockton University and completed the Per Scholas AWS re/Start program, adding CompTIA A+ and Google Project Management certifications to his toolkit.

That combination — military intelligence discipline, public-records rigor, and modern data and cloud technology — powers NJBallot's approach to covering New Jersey elections and government. Under Eric's editorial leadership, NJBallot is committed to factual, neutral, hyperlocal reporting that serves every resident of the state, regardless of party.
