It depends on the ticket type. NJ TRANSIT’s current policy does not refund one-way or round-trip tickets. Entirely unused ten-trip tickets are refundable, while deductions can apply to partially used discounted bus ten-trip tickets. Monthly and weekly passes are refundable before their validity period begins; later refunds may have deductions. For eligible purchases in the app, open My Tickets, select All Tickets, choose the ticket or pass, and select Refund. Other purchase methods have different submission instructions.
