Certify for every week you want unemployment benefits, after that week has ended. Start with NJDOL's current certification page and follow its link to the weekly-benefits system. As checked October 12, 2026, the posted online hours are Sunday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Follow the prompts, use your certification PIN, answer the weekly eligibility questions truthfully, and report work and earnings as instructed. Keep the confirmation. NJDOL says to continue certifying while an eligibility issue or appeal is pending so eligible weeks can be credited. Follow your claim's instructions for the first certification.

What to do next

Check https://www.nj.gov/labor/myunemployment/schedule.shtml for current hours, choose START HERE, and certify the completed week following your claim instructions.
