Background
Teska Frisby is a Trenton-based author, activist, and entrepreneur who assumed office as West Ward Councilwoman on January 1, 2023. She won election in November 2022 with 54.8% of the vote in a three-way race, and was re-elected in November 2024 with 74.8% of the vote. In February 2023, she was unanimously elected Council President, serving in that role until January 2024 when Crystal Feliciano succeeded her.

Frisby is the founder of TesKonnects and holds a degree from Upsala College. She is married to Samuel T. Frisby Sr., a Mercer County Commissioner, and together they have seven children. She is a leader in the local chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and a graduate of Everytown for Gun Safety's Demand a Seat program.
