New Jersey State Senate, 24th Legislative District
Michael Inganamort is a Republican member of the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 24th Legislative District, which encompasses all of Sussex County and portions of Morris and Warren counties. The district's most populous municipalities include Mount Olive Township, Roxbury Township, Vernon Township, Sparta Township, Washington Township, and Hopatcong. Inganamort took office on January 9, 2024, following his election in November 2023, and won re-election in November 2025.
A communications and public policy consultant by profession, Inganamort is a partner at ASG Advisors and has worked in government affairs since his early twenties. He grew up in Sparta, served on the staff of U.S. Representative Scott Garrett in Washington and in Garrett's Newton district office, and managed two of Garrett's congressional campaigns. Inganamort's local government experience includes six years on the Chester Township Council (2018–2023), three of those as council president, followed by a term as mayor of Chester Township (2023–2024). During his time in municipal office, he co-founded a working group of municipalities that developed cost-saving shared service agreements.
Inganamort holds a bachelor's degree from American University and a master's degree from Georgetown University. He is an inductee in the Eagle Scout Hall of Fame and was named to NJBIZ's Forty Under 40 list. In March 2026, he was selected as the only New Jersey lawmaker for GOPAC's 2026 class of Emerging Leaders, a national program for rising Republican officials.
