Trenton City Council Member, At Large (Nonpartisan)
Jasi Edwards is a native Trentonian born in approximately 1988. She graduated from Trenton Central High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Kean University and a Certificate from Harris School of Business-Hamilton Campus.
Edwards served for a decade as Senior Constituent Services Representative for Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman. She currently serves as Mercer County Travel and Tourism Coordinator. She entered electoral politics after years of government service, citing her experience overcoming poverty and her understanding of government operations as motivation for seeking office.
Edwards ran for Trenton City Council At-Large in 2022, placing third in the November general election with 16.1 percent of the vote and winning the January 2023 runoff with 23.8 percent. She assumed office on February 10, 2023. Her council colleagues elected her Council Vice President in 2024. In December 2025 she announced a campaign for Mayor of Trenton.
