James Solomon is the Mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey, serving since January 2026. Prior to becoming mayor, Solomon served on the Jersey City Municipal Council representing Ward E beginning in 2017.

Before entering elected office, Solomon worked as an attorney and public policy advocate. His early career included work in consumer protection and public interest law.
