James Solomon is the Mayor of Jersey City, New Jersey,
serving since January 2026. Prior to becoming mayor, Solomon served on the
Jersey City Municipal Council representing Ward E beginning in 2017.
Before entering elected office, Solomon worked as an
attorney and public policy advocate. His early career included work in consumer
protection and public interest law.
Solomon first gained prominence in Jersey City politics
