Background

Crystal Feliciano is a native Trentonian. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1988 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Georgian Court University in 1992. She later obtained a Master’s degree in Education in 2008 and a Master’s degree in Leadership in 2011, both from Walden University in Minneapolis.

Feliciano has worked as a finance teacher and journalism advisor at Trenton Central High School and serves part-time as a Principal Accountant at Trenton Water Works. She is a member of AFSCME Local 2286 and the New Jersey Education Association. She entered electoral politics after serving as 1st Vice President of the Trenton Democratic Committee and North Ward District 5 Committeewoman.

Feliciano ran for Trenton City Council At-Large in 2022, placing second in the November general election with 18.2 percent of the vote and winning the January 2023 runoff with 22.4 percent. She assumed office on February 10, 2023. Her council colleagues elected her Council Vice President in 2023 and Council President in January 2024; she served as President through January 2025.
