Overview

Brian M. Hughes is the county executive of Mercer County, New Jersey. He first assumed office in 2004 and has been reelected in subsequent county elections. As county executive, he oversees the administration of Mercer County government, including management of county departments, implementation of the county budget, and supervision of regional programs and services.

Before becoming county executive, Hughes served on the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders, now known as the Mercer County Board of County Commissioners.
