Do I need to apply for ANCHOR, or did New Jersey file for me?

Check your filing category and any confirmation letter from the Division of Taxation. For the 2025 application, New Jersey says it automatically filed for most eligible renters of all ages and certain homeowners under 65. Senior homeowners and homeowners receiving specified disability benefits must submit the combined PAS-1 application themselves. The official page lists November 2, 2026 as the filing deadline. A prior payment alone does not tell you which filing route applies now.
