Daniel Hutchison is a Democratic member of the New Jersey General Assembly representing the 4th Legislative District, which encompasses municipalities in Camden, Gloucester, and Atlantic counties. The district's most populous communities include Gloucester Township, Washington Township, Monroe Township, Winslow Township, and Franklin Township. Hutchison assumed office on January 9, 2024, and currently serves as Deputy Majority Whip.


A resident of Gloucester Township since 1995, Hutchison earned a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Rider College in 1989, passed the Certified Public Accountant examination in 1991, and received his J.D. from Widener University Law School in 1995. He works as an attorney and is the father of four children.


Hutchison served five terms on the Gloucester Township Council from 2005 to 2023 before winning election to the Assembly in 2023 alongside running mate Cody Miller. In March 2026 he announced he would not seek re-election to a third term in 2027, citing his son's battle with brain cancer and his decision to transition from running a law practice to managing his son's medical care full-time.
